Visiting the Curtis' in Utah

Finally got to meet our new niece Emmi. The boy's were in Heaven getting to play with their cousins.

We were so glad to be able to be there for the family temple sealing and for Emmi's blessing. The boys were jealous and wanted to be able to go inside the temple. I am glass they have that desire and look forward to when they can participate.

Visiting The Roskelley side in Utah

My 1st trip without Jake. I was nervous about the drive up but obviously survived. We decided to visit my Aunt Rochelle before meeting up with Jake and going to Jake's brother's house. The weather was perfect and the kids played outside non-stop. Owen LOVED the grass unlike Sydney (since there really is no grass in Vegas).

My Uncle Brad took the boys on a ride on the motorcycle and has so much fun (they wanted to go faster). My Aunt took Sydney to go see the Ducks by their house and fell asleep on the walk back.

My Aunt also made me her awesome cinnamon rolls which the boys and I devoured. We also enjoyed an amazing park in Salt Lake City with my cousin Amber. We had a great time even though I was running on NO SLEEP for 2 days (thanks to Sydney not sleeping well).

Nevada Citizenship Award

Carter's 5th grade class worked on a huge Nevada project. Carter worked hard and was able to complete the requirements for his project. They had an award ceremony to celebrate there hard work.

May

Got to watch Pitch Perfect with Amanda!

Date night with Jake and the Stewarts. Maggiano's, Zombie Apocalypse store, and Custard! Always a blast getting away from the kids ;)

Devin's Birthday

I can't believe that Devin is now 8!!! For his birthday (April 13th) we spent the weekend at Knott's Berry Farm. Sydney really got into some of the rides this time and Devin finally got to try the screaming swing ride that cost extra $. He obviously LOVED it, even though he made me go on with him since he was nervous.

The boys also tried the Silver Bullet for the first time! I was able to talk Devin into it and he loved it. He was able to talk Carter into going on it and they had a blast and kept on riding it. Poor Carter got sick the last day we were at Knotts and wasn't able to enjoy the rides, he was so upset.

Devin's Baptism

My boy way baptized May 2nd. It was great to have my family there. We were worried that it might not happen since just days before everyone in the house (except for Devin and I) got sick with the stomach flu. felt so glad and blessed that it all worked out.

April's events

Our ward had it's annual graffiti removal project. It was a blast. Sydney really go into it :) Poor Carter was sick with the flu so he hung out in the van playing his kindle.

Devin has been loving this season of soccer. He has been getting real good. I LOVE watching his games and cheering on like a crazy soccer mom ;)  .

March madness ;)

The boys had their pinewood derby. This was the 1st year Devin got to join in, he got 3rd place. They had so much fun. Sydney also really enjoyed watching the cars race.

Jake has taken up some wood work and make a picnic table for our back yard. The kids like to make a mess of things, defiantly making my life exciting.

We have finally had cement done in our backyard. We also have been busy with soccer games/practices, baptisms, and family time. Even Owen was so tired of the craziness that he went to sleep in the middle of the living room floor.

February Fun

Had a blast doing the backlight run. We enjoyed our girls night our. Filled up with some yummy food while looking so good to replenish our body ;)

Jake and I decided to check out the Container park for a date night. It was a lot of fun and we tried some new places to eat. We later decided to take a quick stroll on Fremont Street. I don't think we have every gone to Fremont Street while married (quickly remember why) :)

Piano Recital

I forgot to take pictures of the boys at their piano recital. They have improved so much over the year. I hope they will continue to grow and learn to love the piano.

January's things

It's been a full month. The boys saved up their money to buy there very own Kindle. Jake and the boy's also enjoy making Smore's and Hot dogs over the fire pit. We had a nice park play date with the boys friends. Sydney just LOVES helping with Owen. And Devin and I made a crazy monster with 100 eyes for his 100 days of school celebration.

We enjoyed another day at the Children's Discovery Museum.

Sick and Tired

It seems like everyone keeps getting sick after Christmas. Sydney and Owen in particular. They did not enjoy the breathing treatments. Not a fun month.

Carter's 10th Birthday!

We surprised Carter for his birthday a trip to Knott's Berry Farm. They didn't see it coming.

It was a great time to go. He was especially glad to miss school on Monday (his actual birthday). The park was empty on Monday and they were able to rides a ton with no lines :)

The drive home on the other hand was rather trying. Owen had the biggest blow out in the middle of Baker. It was pouring rain and could find a place with a changing table so we had to try and clean him while getting soaking wet. it was defiantly one for the books.

Visiting The Kubal's and Back to Oklahoma again

We went to Arkansas for a few days to Visit the Kubal family. The kids loved spending so much time with there cousins. It made me excited for our family reunion coming up this summer. We went to this cool arcade that was old school. Devin and Carter killed it in bowling. Carter played laser tag for the fist time. I went with him because I know he was nervous about going. I tried talking Devin into it but he wouldn't do it. He missed out.

Aunt Julie and Mallory spoiled Sydney with girls stuff. She was in Heaven. Noah was determined to get Sydney to love him and for her to say his name. Which he was successful in!

When we got back to Oklahoma we visited to Aquarium. It was fun. Sydney enjoyed the parts where she could feel things under the water. Devin pet the Sting Rays and sharks, Carter would not. Carter let these little clear lobster looking things crawl in his hand, for a dollar. Devin chickened out. The Shark tank tunnel freaked Sydney out. lol, she would not do thru it.

Christmas

Sydney was at the best age for Christmas this year. She was loving opening presents!!! Her reactions were priceless! Always saying, "Thank you Mommy! Thank you Daddy!" It made me want to buy more girts to give to her.

Carter and Devin were super excited about Santa giving them $$$ and Knott Berry Farm gold pass. It was so nice to spend time with Aunt Michelle, Dani, and Grandpa Curtis!

December's Business

Kids had another day off. So of course… We had some fun. Devin was super excited to get to help out with the science experiment. I am sad I missed taking a picture of him setting fire to a balloon that turned into a big fire ball. Sydney apparently is afraid of the lights in the art area. lol! Drove me a little crazy.

Carter received some awards in scouts. I also bake ginger bread houses for the first time in my life instead of just using graham crackers. Boys decorated the bottom house, Jake and I decorated the top house. I love putting up the Christmas decorations. It has been crazy month with all the prep for Christmas and getting ready to go to Oklahoma during the Christmas break. I somehow survived.

The boy were super excited about going to Oklahoma. I was worried about the drive not knowing how Sydney and Owen would do in the car for that long, but they did better than the older boys. The boys LOVED staying at the hotel. I love the crazy sleeping/using each other as pillows. They drive home was a little scary since we drove passed 6 car wrecks on the 1st day of our drive back. We also saw a car flip and roll right before our eyes. It broke my heart since it was obvious it was a family since it was a SVU. 1st time in my life where I made a 911 call. I swear I was practically praying the rest of the car ride home for us and the family that was hurt.

I was hoping to do some family pictures while in Oklahoma but it did not quite work out that way. Sydney did not cooperate. But at least we got a couple pics. Hopefully we can take some family pictures soon.

November

Girls Trip to Texas! It's always a party when Michelle is around. Poor Aubrey was freezing and overheated herself in her coat under the covers trying to warm back up. lol. Michelle travels in style while shopping with her prego belly. Crazies. And I dominated in Hearts! Lots of food, fun, and laughter! Can't wait till next year.

It was nice this season that the boys were able to be on the same team, which made it easier on me for practices and games. Sydney go into cheering for the boys. Family fun!

Carter and Devin always enjoy going to the dentist! Sydney even scored on the treats.

Sydney pooped twice in the potty. I don't think she is quite ready to be potty trained but it is a start.

Jake had some time off and so we hit up Children's Discovery Museum again. The kids LOVE it!

Octoberness 2014

October is one of my boys favorite months! We make some yummy gory treats for family home evening to deliver to friends. Sydney sure loved eating them. Sydney enjoyed going around "Scaring" everyone.

The kids always enjoy the ward Trunk or Treat, although Sydney did not like going around getting candy. She rather sit with Jake handing out candy. I also got to go see Wicked with Camille while it was in town. It was so fun going out and watching one of my favorite shows. Wish I could do this every month.

The boys had teacher inservice and had some time off school while the other schools in the valley had classes. So we took advantage of that and went to the Children's Discovery Museum.

Halloween the kids loaded up on candy. Sydney was loving helping out passing candy. I Love my crazy bunch of children!

Stuff in September 2014

The things my kids get into. Crazy girls :)

Splash pads, Soccer practices, karate classes, cub scout day, cleaning up messes, work swim party, and an angel baby. That basically sums up September.

Owen's Baby Blessing

We blessed Owen September 7th, 2014. Grandpa Curtis, Cliff, Heather, and the kids were able to join us for the blessing. It is always great to have family with us. Sydney really enjoyed having girls at our house, having some "girl time." I feel very blessed to have such wonderful family near and far. I am very grateful that Owen is such a good baby! I feel like our family is complete.

Relaxin at Pine Valley

Another quick get away at Pine Valley over Labor day weekend.

1st Day of School

These Boys are growing up so fast! I am always to excited for school to start but then a little sad when I realize how much they grow up each year. I always wonder if they really learn the things I am trying to teach them about life. I hope and pray they can remember the things that are most important in life.
